All roads lead to Rome? Not this time! On this wine walk, I’ll show you a Roman highlight in the heart of the Palatinate.

The history of this region is also a story of winemaking and wine culture. On several stages, we’ll journey from the Celts to the Romans and finally to today’s Palatines and their wine. Starting in Kallstadt, we’ll walk to the Roman Villa at the closeby Weilberg.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy fascinating tidbits about ancient and modern winemaking. You’ll also see and learn why conquerors chose this very spot to settle.

During the hike, you’ll taste wines that showcase a spectrum of grape varieties—from traditional Palatine classics to new fungus-resistant grapes.

Excited about this unique combination of wine, knowledge, and history? Then sign up now and build an album of unforgettable moments from the Palatinate.

Enjoy wine in a relaxed atmosphere and join me for a timeout in our vineyards

I’m looking forward to seeing you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome, provided they do not disrupt the event and are friendly to people and other dogs. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

What happens in "bad" weather?
The event takes place in any weather. Please bring appropriate clothing (sun hat, raincoat, umbrella, jacket, etc.). If you have a special program planned afterwards, you might also want to bring spare clothes. In case of heavy rain, I offer you and the group the option to separate the hike from the wine tasting and conduct the tasting in the winery's barn. However, it’s important to me that we still go outside, even if just a little, to experience the vibrant nature.
